Preview

Click to cycle: Normal â†’ Front â†’ Back â†’ Normal. Back groups are used only when the period's roster needs their seats.

Seating Exceptions

Front seating

Use the Front seating checkbox beside a student in the Roster tab. Changes save automatically.

Keep students apart

Choose a period and two students. Their IDs remain hidden and are handled automatically.

Sit together about weekly

On the first day each week that both students check in, the second student will join the first student's group when a seat is available. Other days use normal random seating.

Authentication is handled by your district Google account. This site no longer stores or asks for an Aeries password.

Tardy Marking

Tardies start after a set number of students sign in. Once that threshold is reached, a grace period begins. Anyone signing in after the grace period is marked late.

A personal computer may be required

Direct Aeries roster loading and the manual attendance pilot require the Attendance Helper and regular Chrome or Edge on Windows. Embedded browsers cannot reach the helper, and district-managed computers may block its installation. If you cannot install programs on this device, sign in to this same Attendance Taker account on a home or personal Windows computer, install and connect the helper there, and your roster and sync status will appear on your other devices automatically.

The Attendance Taker website and previously loaded rosters can still be used on district computers without the helper.

Download and run the helper on a home or personal Windows computer.
If Chrome asks to find devices on your local network, choose Allow. This lets the site reach the helper on this computer.
Return here and click Connect Aeries.
Finish district Google sign-in in the Chrome window, close it, then check the connection.

Beta test build: the installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows may display a security warning.

If a managed school Chrome profile blocks local access without asking, open this site in an unmanaged personal Chrome or Edge profile and sign in to the website with your district Google account there.

Aeries Attendance Sync

Submit each period 15 minutes and 60 minutes after its first student signs in.

Automatic sync is off. Manual preview remains available from the Attendance tab.

The Windows helper reopens Attendance Taker before the 4:00 PM audit if the page was closed. The computer must be awake and signed in. High-absence periods stop for manual review. Enabling starts with the next period whose first sign-in has not happened yet.
